Types of shelving

They are classified into light-duty shelving, medium-duty shelving, and heavy-duty shelving according to different load capacities. The shelves can be made of steel or wood.
1. Light-duty shelving
The normal load per layer is around 100kg, with a maximum load per layer controlled within 200kg. The unit shelf length is generally within 2 meters, the depth within 0.6 meters, and the height usually within 2 meters. They are widely used in homes, shopping malls, supermarkets, company warehouses, institutions, auto parts warehouses, pharmaceutical, electronics, and apparel companies.
2. Medium-duty shelving
The load capacity of a unit shelf is generally between 200kg and 1000kg. The shelf uprights usually adopt a C-type steel structure, and the beams usually adopt a P-type structure. The shelf height can be adjusted in 50mm increments. This type of shelving is suitable for any warehouse.
3. Heavy-duty shelving
Heavy-duty shelving combines the characteristics of heavy-duty and medium-duty shelving. When the shelf uprights and beams all adopt a heavy-duty structure, a buckle plate method is used to fasten the steel shelves to the beams. When the shelf load is within a certain range, heavy-duty uprights and medium-duty P-shaped beams can be used. In this case, the shelf arrangement is the same as that of medium-duty shelving, with the shelves directly placed on the P-shaped beams. Of course, shelving companies will decide on the specific method of shelf arrangement based on the actual project conditions.
